Why We Started Airedale Ventures?
Airedale ventures was set up to try and meet the food needs of a growing population whilst also being aware of the environmental impacts which conventional farming can have.
We are passionate about creating a better world for those coming after us, and put sustainability at the heart of everything we do.
Our aim is to maximise the capacity of under-utilised agricultural land whilst adopting sustainable farming practices that help to ensure long term soil health and avoid degradation of our environment.
Our Story
Our team have built up a total worked surface area of over 1000ha of arable farmland planted with cereal crops including: wheat, barley, corn and sunflower. We operate a diversified mix of crops using traditional crop rotations that ensure the land is not overworked and depleted.
At Airedale ventures we believe that farming should be both profitable and sustainable. With over 100 years of combined experience our team aims to achieve the best yields on our conventional farming portfolio as well as a consistent conversion of conventional farming land to fully certified organic production. This in turn helps to put less stress on our fragile ecosystem and ensure the longevity of the business.
Our teams in depth market knowledge and experience makes us extremely well suited to assisting in those aiming to follow in our footsteps and set up organic certified farms, we provide a range of services including market research, business set up and operational assistance for customers who share our vision of a low impact, environmentally conscious agribusiness of the future.
